Ever since he was a teenager, Andrew Ong knew that he would venture into a career in advertising.
After graduating from WKWSCI, Andrew landed a digital planner role with Wunderman, a global advertising, marketing and consulting agency in Singapore. His three-year stint there gave him gave him a solid grounding in digital strategies, engagement plans and social content, while working with global brands including Adidas and Microsoft.
This year, the 27-year-old moved on to Unilever as an Assistant Digital Manager (Southeast Asia and Australia), supporting the team in driving digital innovations.
Remembering his time in school as the “good old days,” Andrew said one of his fondest memories was getting the opportunity to present a conference paper in Durban, South Africa during his third year. During that trip, he also trekked up Table Mountain in Lesotho.
“After four hours of climbing, we enjoyed a fine meal at an award-winning restaurant located in a vineyard,” he said.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys taking photographs and watching films.
